Jersey Airport Disrupted by Drone Activity for Second Consecutive Night
Authorities warn of legal consequences for those responsible for the persistent disruptions affecting inbound flights.
Jersey Airport experienced disruptions affecting inbound flights for a second consecutive night due to drone activity. The Chief Minister of Jersey, Senator Lyndon Farnham, stated that operating a drone near an airport is a serious offense, not a harmless activity.
"To those responsible, the message is clear: if you are identified, you should expect to face the full consequences of the law," Farnham added.
One passenger, Pacific Basirwe, who was awaiting the arrival of his wife and young son from London Heathrow, expressed frustration. "It's annoying, this should be regulated, and the people doing those things should be prosecuted," he said. "It's been two days in a row now… If there is no further action, they will keep doing it, which is not good."
