Jerry Jones Recounts Bizarre Packers Fan Encounter from Decades Ago
The Cowboys owner shared a peculiar story involving a fan and his grandchildren.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones recalled a bizarre incident from approximately 25 years ago involving a Green Bay Packers fan who exposed herself to his car.
During an appearance on 105.3 FM The Fan, Jones described the event that occurred after a game in Green Bay. He stated that as he was leaving the stadium in a large car filled with his grandchildren, who were then very young, a "hefty" Packers fan ran up to his vehicle. The fan, upset after the game, pulled down her pants and pressed her bare buttocks against the car window. Jones noted that the extreme cold caused her skin to stick to the glass.
"Everybody inside was in awe and couldn’t believe it," Jones recounted. He added that her skin stuck to the window due to the cold temperature.
Jones' son, Stephen Jones, who serves as the Cowboys' executive vice president, confirmed he was present in the car and remembered the incident. He also humorously noted that his mother was seated closest to the fan's unexpected display.
However, the account of the timeline and the conditions may be subject to some discrepancy. Records indicate the Cowboys have only won three games in Green Bay during Jones' ownership tenure, with the earliest victory occurring in October 1991. Other wins in Green Bay were in September 2008 and October 2016, which are more recent than the 25-year timeframe stated by Jones. These wins, particularly the 1991 game, occurred during seasons that were not characterized by freezing temperatures in Wisconsin.
This anecdote adds a peculiar chapter to the long-standing rivalry between the Packers and the Cowboys, a series the Packers have largely dominated in recent meetings, winning five of the last seven matchups. The Cowboys, currently 2-3, are scheduled to face the Packers (3-2) at Lambeau Field on Sunday Night Football.
