Aliece, the girlfriend of Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love, has addressed criticism following a social media post showcasing a $300,000 Lamborghini Urus gifted to her by the NFL player. The online backlash focused on the extravagant gift, especially in light of Love's earlier statements about investing his entire contract.
Love, who signed a four-year, $53 million contract with the Cardinals, including a $35 million signing bonus, had previously indicated his intention to invest the full amount. The timing of the Lamborghini gift, purchased with what some speculated could be NIL money or funds from his contract, drew criticism.
Aliece responded to the negativity in a TikTok video posted on August 18. In the video, she is seen in the driver's seat of the Lamborghini, singing lyrics that dismisses the criticism. The lyrics included lines such as, "The hate ain’t working, as you can see / b****** blow me, I’m still hot / And my n**** so damn rich, I could probably quit my job."
Love is currently sidelined with an ankle injury but is expected to be the Cardinals' starter for their season opener against the Chargers on September 13. He will not participate in the team's preseason game against the Cowboys on Saturday.
The Lamborghini Urus, a luxury SUV, typically retails for around $300,000. Aliece had initially posted a video of herself with the car last month, which subsequently went viral and sparked the online debate.
