“90 Day Fiancé” stars Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh have spoken out to correct misinformation regarding Slatten's amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis, specifically refuting claims that she is hospitalized.

In an Instagram video posted on Monday, Singh stated that Slatten remains able to walk and talk and is not entirely dependent on him or others. "What you see on some pages, some people are posting that she’s on a hospital bed and unable to do anything, which is a lie, and Jenny don’t like that," Singh said.

The couple, who currently reside in India, also shared that they are beginning the process to obtain a U.S. visa for Singh. He noted that they are attempting to expedite the process, as Slatten's health now requires her to travel with a caregiver.

"It’s not like we are staying idle, we are trying, but I believe it’s hard for Indian to get an American visa but still, we are trying our best," Singh said. "Hoping that I will get the visa soon."

Slatten, 68, addressed her followers directly in the video, her speech noticeably slurred. "I’m OK," she stated. "I talk slow but I’m able to take care of myself … with help from him." Singh, 38, added, "I’m always there for her."

The couple expressed gratitude in their caption to “90 Day Fiancé” castmate Sarper Güven for dedicating his recent stand-up show to raise funds for Slatten's ALS treatment. They also thanked everyone who has offered support since her diagnosis was announced in May.

"Your kindness means the world to us," they wrote. "And to everyone who has donated to our GoFundMe, booked a Cameo, sent prayers, kind messages, and encouraging comments… thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Every little thing you do gives us hope and strength."

Last month, the reality television stars defended their decision to set up a GoFundMe to cover Slatten's medical expenses, which had raised over $99,000 as of the time of the report, with a goal of $171,700.

Slatten explained that she lacks medical insurance in India and did not want to be a burden to her three daughters in the U.S. Singh added that he is trying to make his wife's life "as easy as possible."

"Money will not heal, but it supports and makes life easier," he explained. "We never ask for money before, we’ve been on the show, we’ve struggled a lot many times, but we never ask. And we need it now, that’s why we are just asking."

Slatten and Singh first appeared on "90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way" in 2019, garnering attention for their 30-year age difference. They married in 2021 in India, with their wedding featured in the Season 3 finale of the show. They are currently appearing on Season 3 of "90 Day: The Last Resort," which features couples participating in therapy sessions to address marital issues.

Singh previously told People in May that caring for Slatten during her ALS battle has offered him a new perspective on love. "Honestly, I never felt this much love, or I can love anyone this much, I used to … live for myself," he reflected. "But from [the] last so many years, I feel like doing [things] for someone who you love gives you happiness, I think that’s what love is."
