Jenny Mollen has publicly shared that she is feeling "massively depressed" as she navigates her recent separation from husband Jason Biggs. The actress revealed her emotional state in an Instagram post on Thursday, accompanying it with a video of herself skipping barefoot in a grassy field.

Mollen, 47, captioned the post, "So we are clear, I am massively depressed. This is just what surviving looks like." The video featured her twirling with her arms in the air, set to the song "Help I’m Alive" by Metric.

Followers responded with messages of support, with one commenter writing, "You’ve got this! No one knows what depression looks like. Hang in there mama." Another expressed solidarity, stating, "Totally understand this post so hard."

The actress's candid post comes after Page Six confirmed in May that she and Biggs, 48, had parted ways. A representative for the couple stated at the time that they remain on amicable terms and are committed to co-parenting their two sons, Lazlo, 8, and Sid, 12.

Following the news of their split, Mollen wrote an essay for her Substack detailing struggles with feeling "worthy and validated." She described a lifelong pattern of rushing through life, likening her experiences to being in a "waiting room" before a significant event. She admitted to not fully living in the moment when her children were young, attributing it to ambition or perhaps ADHD, and expressed that her "highest highs" felt fleeting.

Despite the separation, Biggs and Mollen have maintained a public united front. In June, they were photographed dining with their children in New York City, with Mollen and Biggs seen with their arms linked.

Later that month, during an appearance on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast, Mollen described her relationship with the "American Pie" actor as "still romantic" in a different capacity. "We still love each other," she said. "It’s just not, I don’t know, it’s a different type of romance. It’s, like, your best friend."

Mollen also shared that being single felt "surreal" and "bizarre," explaining their continued connection. "We live in two different places, but we’re still tethered. We have kids. We still talk 18 times a day about everyone’s schedule and after school and holidays."

Biggs and Mollen met while working on the 2007 film "My Best Friend’s Girl" and married in January 2008, concluding an 18-year marriage.
