Jennifer Lopez, 57, has offered candid thoughts on her search for love and self-discovery, coinciding with the release of a new deluxe edition of her 2011 album "Love?". The updated version, being released as an LP in collaboration with the fintech company Bilt, prompts reflections on a period when Lopez was "questioning things and was really trying to figure love out and everything."
When "Love?" was originally released, Lopez was married to her third husband, Marc Anthony, with whom she shares 18-year-old twins Max and Oskar. The new deluxe edition includes a recently recorded dance track, "Proof of Love," which Lopez explains signifies finding love within oneself. "you can really see the proof of love everywhere, but you have to find it within yourself," she stated.
Lopez is currently navigating life as an empty nester, with Max and Oskar having recently left for college. Oskar's transition followed his high school graduation and the public acknowledgment of his gender identity, having previously been known as Emme.
The original album featured Lopez's best-selling single, "On the Floor," a duet with Pitbull. The song has seen a resurgence in popularity, notably through a scene in the Amazon Prime series "Off Campus," where a character dances to it at a party dressed as Lopez. Lopez commented on the song's renewed appeal, noting that "nothing is old anymore, because people are discovering these things all the time and it’s new for them."
This partnership with Bilt for their November Rent Day promotion follows other significant brand collaborations, including a reported $20 million deal to become the face of Dolce & Gabbana. Lopez has been a longtime supporter of the fashion house, attending a Milan Fashion Week event they hosted this summer.
More than two years ago, in August 2024, Lopez filed for divorce from her fourth husband, Ben Affleck, on their second wedding anniversary. Their relationship, which first began from 2002 to 2004, rekindled in 2020, sparking widespread fan interest. Despite efforts to sell their former marital home in Los Angeles, the $61 million mansion has yet to be sold. Affleck relinquished his stake in the property to Lopez in April, several months after they initially attempted to list it and before the divorce filing.
