Jennifer Lopez, 57, has shared reflections on her search for love, two years after her divorce from her fourth husband, Ben Affleck. The artist was discussing a new deluxe edition of her 2011 album "Love?," which is being re-released as an LP in collaboration with the fintech company Bilt.
Referring to the question mark in the album's original title, Lopez recalled "a time in my life when I was questioning things and was really trying to figure love out and everything," according to a video with Bilt CEO Ankur Jain. When "Love?" was initially released, Lopez was married to her third husband, Marc Anthony, with whom she shares 18-year-old twins Max and Oskar.
The re-released album includes the newly recorded dance track "Proof of Love." Lopez explained the song's theme by stating, "you can really see the proof of love everywhere, but you have to find it within yourself."
Lopez is currently navigating life as an empty nester, with her twins having recently left for college. Her son Oskar's high school graduation coincided with the public acknowledgment of his transgender identity.
The original "Love?" album featured Lopez's bestselling single, "On the Floor," a collaboration with Pitbull. The song has recently found a new audience through a viral scene in the Amazon Prime series "Off Campus," where a character, dressed as Lopez, dances to the track.
Lopez noted to Jain that "On the Floor" is experiencing "a whole new resurgence 15 years later," observing that "nothing is old anymore, because people are discovering these things all the time and it’s new for them."
Bilt, a membership service that offers rewards on rent and mortgage payments, has partnered with Lopez for its November Rent Day promotion. This brand partnership follows her reported $20 million deal to become the face of Dolce & Gabbana.
Lopez, a longtime associate of designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, participated in a Milan Fashion Week event hosted by the brand earlier this summer. In August 2024, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on their second wedding anniversary, concluding their second period as a couple. The pair were initially together from 2002 to 2004 before rekindling their romance in 2020. Lopez has not yet sold the Los Angeles mansion that formerly served as her marital home with Affleck, which was listed for $61 million. Affleck and Lopez began attempting to sell the property in June 2024, but Affleck eventually relinquished his stake to Lopez in April.
