Jennifer Lopez is embracing the transition to becoming an empty nester, recently taking her twin children, Max and Oskar, on a trip to Rome.
The singer, 57, and her 18-year-old twins explored the Italian capital, visiting sites such as the Colosseum and enjoying gelato, as they prepare for the children to head to college.
Lopez, dressed stylishly in a satin mini dress, metallic flip-flops, and a head scarf, took photos of her children, reminiscent of any other parent capturing memories. Her children opted for more casual attire, with Oskar in jeans and a button-down shirt, and Max in a white T-shirt and shorts. Both twins were occasionally seen with earbuds in.
The family also indulged in some shopping, visiting stores like Brunello Cucinelli and Antonio Marras. Security personnel accompanied the group throughout their excursions.
This trip follows the twins' high school graduations, a milestone that has brought emotional reflections for Lopez. She has spoken openly about the impending changes, telling talk show hosts that the prospect of her children leaving home is an emotional one, as they have been her constant companions.
Oskar, formerly known as Emme, recently embraced his identity as he now goes by Oskar Muniz and uses he/him pronouns. Lopez publicly acknowledged Oskar's identity in 2022 when she referred to the twins as 'they' during a performance.
Max and Oskar are the children of Lopez and singer Marc Anthony. Lopez has been candid about her feelings regarding her children's departure for college, expressing sadness and a sense of transition in her life.
Lopez is also navigating her personal life as she is currently single following her 2024 divorce from Ben Affleck. She has expressed contentment with her current single status, emphasizing that she is not in a rush to find a new partner and is enjoying this phase of her life.
