Jennifer Lawrence Discusses Childbirth and Body Changes, Reveals Breast Lift Surgery
The Oscar winner made candid remarks about postpartum physical changes on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast and confirmed recent breast lift surgery.
Actress Jennifer Lawrence recently shared candid and crude details about the physical effects of childbirth, including a frank discussion about her body's recovery. Appearing on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Lawrence responded to a question about what she was unprepared for regarding childbirth by stating, "Your vagina will bounce back. Your butthole won't."
The host, Alex Cooper, expressed surprise at the actress's bluntness. Lawrence, who welcomed a son with husband Cooke Maroney in April of last year and has a four-year-old son, also shared that she felt unprepared for much of the motherhood experience.
Earlier this week, Lawrence confirmed that she underwent breast lift surgery, explaining that her body "didn't bounce back" after her second child's birth. She told The Cut that she desired to "be a sexy mom" and wanted to appear put-together even in casual moments. The prospect of filming a nude scene for an upcoming project also contributed to her decision, though she indicated she would have pursued the surgery regardless.
Lawrence also discussed future cosmetic procedures, mentioning plans for a facelift. She stated a preference for avoiding fillers because they show on camera and plans to use Botox sparingly to maintain facial expressiveness for her roles. She also addressed speculation about changes to her face, attributing any perceived alterations to losing "babyweight in my face" and the natural process of aging, rather than a nose job.
In a recent interview with The New Yorker, Lawrence noted the difference in her body's recovery after her second pregnancy compared to her first. She has also recently launched her own haircare company, Mes, featuring a volumizing mist, a repair mask, and a serum, though she described herself as not knowledgeable about the business's financial aspects.
