Jennifer Garner shared a rare photo with her former "Alias" co-star and ex-boyfriend Michael Vartan, celebrating the spy series' 25th anniversary. Garner posted a video montage on Instagram that included a selfie with Vartan, marking the occasion.

In the image, Garner, dressed in a black top, has her arm around Vartan, who sported a casual button-down shirt and a ball cap. The montage also featured clips from "Alias" and a voiceover from Garner expressing pride in being part of the show and calling her castmates and crew her "whole world."

"All these years later, we’ve been together," Garner said in the clip, which also included photos with other "Alias" cast and crew members, such as J.J. Abrams, Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, and Merrin Dungey. "We’re a little band that’s gone together for the past 25 years."

Garner, 54, reflected on landing the role of Sydney Bristow, noting that before "Alias," she had not been considered for action or tough roles. "I walked differently after I played Sydney," she added in the voiceover.

The ABC spy thriller "Alias" aired from 2001 to 2006. Garner and Vartan, who played Michael Vaughn, dated from 2003 to 2004. Garner later married Ben Affleck in 2005 and they have three children: Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 12. They divorced in 2018.

Vartan married Lauren Skaar, but they divorced in 2014. He and Garner have maintained a friendly relationship.

In a 2023 Instagram post, Garner wished Vartan a happy 55th birthday, sharing a photo of herself in character. "I hope it’s a great one, Michael! XX S. Bristow," she wrote at the time. Merrin Dungey, who played Francie Calfo, commented on Garner's anniversary post, "Love you forever and I promise not to fight you in our apartment ever again. ❤️" Fans also expressed their nostalgia for the series, with one writing, "Truly one of the best TV pilots of all time, and the season-ending cliffhangers were next level."
