Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's Child Fin Affleck Steps Out With Mom
The 17-year-old, who came out as non-binary in April 2024, showcased an edgy style while running errands with the actress.
Jennifer Garner's child, Fin Affleck, 17, recently displayed an edgy sense of style during an outing with the actress in Los Angeles. Fin wore a graphic print Bob Marley t-shirt and cut-off shorts, with their hair styled in a 90s curtain cut for the occasion. Garner, 54, appeared makeup-free, dressed in a blue shirt and leggings.
Fin came out as non-binary and debuted their new name at a memorial service for Garner's father in April 2024. At the service, held at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, West Virginia, Fin wore a black pantsuit with a buzz-cut hairstyle and introduced themselves by their new name before reading a bible verse.
Garner shares Fin, daughter Violet, 20, and son Samuel, 14, with ex-husband Ben Affleck, 54. The couple was married from 2005 to 2018. Affleck later rekindled his romance with ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez in 2021, and they married in Las Vegas in July 2022, followed by a larger ceremony in August 2022.
In recent interviews, Affleck has spoken about his children's reactions to his relationship advice. He recounted an instance where his 17-year-old responded to his attempts at offering guidance by saying, "Oh, like you're the expert on relationships?" Affleck admitted that his children often roll their eyes at his advice, viewing him as a caricature.
Affleck also reflected on his co-parenting relationship with Garner. He shared that while they were initially slated to co-star in his film "Animals," Garner decided against it, stating they did not want to "get baggage." However, Affleck expressed a desire to collaborate with his ex-wife in the future, calling her "fabulous" and a "and "really good friends."
