Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's child Fin Affleck steps out in Los Angeles
The 17-year-old showcased a distinct style while accompanying their actress mother on an errand run.
Jennifer Garner's child, Fin Affleck, recently showcased an edgy sense of style during an outing with the actress in Los Angeles. Fin, 17, who came out as non-binary and debuted their new name in April 2024, wore a graphic print Bob Marley t-shirt and cut-off shorts, with their hair styled in a 90s curtain cut. Garner, 54, appeared makeup-free, opting for a blue shirt and leggings for the day.
Fin is one of three children Garner shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck. The former couple also have daughter Violet, 20, and son Samuel, 14. Garner and Affleck were married from 2005 to 2018.
Fin's public debut with their new name occurred at a memorial service for Garner's father in Charleston, West Virginia. At the service, Fin wore a black pantsuit and a buzz-cut hairstyle, introducing themselves by their new name before reading a bible verse. Fin had been seen with shorter hair as early as February 2024, but the funeral marked their first public introduction with the new name.
Following his divorce from Garner, Affleck rekindled his relationship with Jennifer Lopez in 2021. The couple married in Las Vegas in July 2022, followed by a larger ceremony in August 2022. Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, which was finalized in early 2025. Despite their split, Affleck and Lopez have reportedly remained on good terms and have collaborated on projects post-divorce, including the film "Kiss Of The Spider Woman" (2025).
Affleck has spoken about his relationship with his children and Lopez's positive influence on them. "For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular. Great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them," he told Entertainment Tonight. He also expressed admiration for Lopez's children, stating, "I love her kids. They're wonderful. She's [an] enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to."
In a recent appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", Affleck humorously shared that his children do not seek relationship advice from him. He recounted instances where his teenage child has responded sarcastically to his attempts to offer guidance, with the 17-year-old once remarking, "Oh, like you're the expert on relationships?" Affleck acknowledged that he may have become a caricature in his children's eyes as they grow older.
Affleck and Garner had initially been considered to co-star in his film "Animals," with Kerry Washington ultimately being cast. Garner reportedly expressed reservations about the project, stating, "We don't wanna do that. You just get baggage." However, Affleck has indicated a willingness to collaborate with his ex-wife in the future, describing her as "fabulous" and expressing profound gratitude for their current friendship and dynamic.
