Jennifer Aniston and her boyfriend, hypnotist Jim Curtis, have reportedly decided against having children together, according to a source close to the couple. The pair, who celebrated their one-year dating anniversary in May, are focusing on building a lasting partnership.
"One thing that they did discuss in the beginning of their relationship is that they don’t want more children together," the insider told Us Weekly. "Jen has met his son, and she thinks he’s great. They are focused on building a lasting partnership. They both do feel they found the person who understands them. It just works."
Curtis, 50, has a teenage son named Aidan from his previous marriage to Rachel Napolitano. Aniston, 57, has no children from her previous marriages to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux.
The source added that neither Aniston nor Curtis feels pressured to rush into an engagement. "They are allowing the relationship to develop at its own pace and are much stronger, more positive and more confident that their lifestyles and priorities are compatible [than they were a year ago]. They have had conversations about their long-term future. They are enjoying the moment."
Aniston and Curtis have been increasingly public with their relationship. Recently, Aniston interviewed Curtis onstage in New York City to mark the release of his new book, "The Book of Possibility." During the event, Aniston shared that she was "choosing to overcome a very deep, deep fear of public speaking" with Curtis's help.
Curtis also spoke about his personal journey, including overcoming partial paralysis and chronic nerve damage from his early 20s. He shared his philosophy on facing adversity, stating, "You don't have to live as the victim. You don't have to live in your suffering. It can become your power."
Aniston and Curtis were first linked last summer while vacationing in Majorca. Aniston made their relationship Instagram official in November for Curtis's birthday, sharing a photo with the caption, "Happy birthday, my love. Cherished."
Insiders described their current relationship status as having "moved beyond the excitement of a new relationship and are developing a genuine partnership." The source noted an "ease about them that's infectious" stemming from mutual acceptance. "They are more trusting and less guarded. They are just as comfortable discussing difficult subjects as they are being vulnerable with each other. It's grown from an exciting connection to a dependable partnership."
Friends of Aniston reportedly are impressed by how seamlessly her and Curtis's lives have blended, noting that Curtis's position outside the entertainment industry contributes to their successful dynamic.
