Jenni 'JWoww' Farley, known for her role on MTV's 'Jersey Shore,' has revealed she was hospitalized with a kidney infection and appendicitis. The reality television personality shared her experience on Instagram on Thursday, describing it as "one of the hardest weeks of my life." Farley, 41, a mother of two, posted a photo from her hospital room with her children, Meilani, 12, and Greyson, 10.

"I’ve spent every day fighting to get healthy enough to get home to my family while dealing with a horrible kidney infection and appendicitis," Farley wrote in a lengthy caption. She also shared a video of herself flat ironing her daughter's hair in a hospital bathroom, stating, "No matter where I was, I was going to do my daughter’s hair for her first day [of school]."

Farley's hospital stay had extended for nearly a week. She admitted that she had not felt like herself for months, experiencing weight loss, exhaustion, and a general feeling of being unwell before her condition worsened. "Last Friday, my body finally said, 'We aren’t making it like this anymore,'" she stated.

Her current husband, Zack Carpinello, 31, ensured the children were present early that morning so the family could be together. Farley reflected on the experience, noting the contrast between a typical first day of school and their hospital-bound preparations, which included hospital bracelets, a hospital room, backpacks, and hair supplies. "We didn’t get the picture in front of the house. We didn’t get the normal first-day morning. We got hospital bracelets, a hospital room, backpacks, hair supplies and a memory I don’t think any of us will ever forget," she added.

Observing her children prepare for school prompted Farley to reflect on broader challenges faced by other families. "What I am going through is temporary," she told her followers. "For some families, something happened this summer that may have changed their lives forever. Some kids are walking into school carrying grief, illness at home, divorce, financial struggles, a new diagnosis, or something none of us can see."

She encouraged parents to remind their children to be kind, emphasizing that "You never know what someone is carrying behind closed doors." Farley concluded her message with a note of gratitude: "Our first-day picture looks a little different this year, but we have one. And right now, I’m incredibly grateful for that. ❤️ Here’s to a new school year. May our kids be safe, successful, and above all else… kind."

This health revelation comes two months after Farley and Carpinello tied the knot in a surprise wedding ceremony in June. The couple had invited guests to what they announced as a special screening of Farley's film 'Nanny Cam,' only for the mayor, who also served as officiant, to reveal it was actually a wedding. The event featured movie-themed invitations, signage, and a red carpet entrance at Madison Modern Social in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
