Jenni "JWoww" Farley, known for her role in "Jersey Shore," was recently hospitalized due to a severe kidney infection and appendicitis. The reality television personality shared details of her health scare on Instagram, noting that the ordeal began on her children's first day of school.
Farley described the past week as one of the most challenging of her life, as she fought to recover and return home to her family. She explained that while it felt sudden, she had not been feeling like herself for months, experiencing symptoms such as weight loss and persistent exhaustion before her condition worsened.
"Last Friday, my body finally said, ‘We aren’t making it like this anymore,’" Farley wrote in her Instagram post.
The "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" star expressed gratitude for the hospital staff who cared for her. Her husband, Zack Carpinello, brought their children, Meilani, 12, and Greyson, 10, to the hospital so they could be together during the milestone first day of school. Farley noted the unique circumstances, sharing, "We didn’t get the picture in front of the house. We didn’t get the normal first-day morning. We got hospital bracelets, a hospital room, backpacks, hair supplies and a memory I don’t think any of us will ever forget."
Despite the challenging circumstances, Farley shared a "first-day picture" featuring her children in the hospital, highlighting her thankfulness for the moment. She concluded her post with well wishes for the new school year for her children.
Several of Farley's "Jersey Shore" co-stars offered messages of support in the comments section. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino sent "prayers of positive energy & healing," while Nicole "Snooki" LaValle expressed her love, and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola wished her a speedy recovery.
Farley and Carpinello married in June after seven years together. Farley shares her two children with ex-husband Roger Mathews, from whom she finalized her divorce in August 2019.
