Jenni 'JWoww' Farley Denies Ozempic Use Amid Weight Loss Scrutiny

Jenni 'JWoww' Farley, a star of MTV's Jersey Shore, has responded to social media criticism suggesting she used weight loss medication like Ozempic. Farley clarified that her recent significant weight loss was a result of serious health issues, not pharmaceuticals.

Farley, 41, explained that she was diagnosed with appendicitis and a kidney abscess, described as being the size of a golf ball. These conditions required hospitalization and led to her involuntary weight loss over the summer. "I have never been this thin since middle school," Farley stated in a comment responding to critics, "but unfortunately, I was told I couldn't eat for six days in the hospital as they debated taking out my appendix while I was also suffering from a kidney abscess the size of a golf ball… appendicitis, and a kidney infection sucks (and because I had this ongoing I was losing weight over the summer)."

The speculation began after footage surfaced of the reality star appearing noticeably thinner at a New York City event with her children. Online commenters quickly attributed her altered appearance to Ozempic, a popular weight loss drug. "Lay off the Ozempic lady smh," one user wrote, while another commented, "O-O-O-Ozempic!!"

Farley expressed frustration with the assumptions, adding sarcastically, "But what sucks more is the fact that I can't control how thin I am right now and I did not do any "shots" for this to happen… but I will ask when I gain all the [weight] back for you to then comment about how fat I got because women can't win either way."

Earlier this month, Farley had shared details of her health struggles on Instagram, posting a photo from her hospital room. She wrote, "I've spent every day fighting to get healthy enough to get home to my family while dealing with a horrible kidney infection and appendicitis." She admitted she hadn't felt like herself for months, experiencing weight loss and exhaustion before her condition culminated in hospitalization.

In related news, Farley's Jersey Shore co-star Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi recently announced she is cancer-free. Polizzi, 38, who was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer earlier this year, underwent surgery in July and has confirmed that she has no evidence of the disease. "As of right now, I am cancer-free. They got everything out," she told People magazine.

Both Farley and Polizzi were part of the original Jersey Shore cast from 2009 to 2012, and later reunited for the spin-off Snooki & Jwoww and the series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which concluded its ninth season on September 3.
