Jenn Pedranti, a star of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," has shared her thoughts on her co-star Vicki Gunvalson's relationship with boyfriend Michael Smith, expressing surprise and sympathy.
In an interview with Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea," Pedranti, 49, stated she was taken aback to learn that Smith had purchased an engagement ring for Gunvalson, 64, but allegedly conditioned its proposal on Gunvalson exhibiting good behavior for 90 consecutive days.
While Gunvalson has reportedly dismissed Smith's comment as a joke, Pedranti suggested that such a statement would be difficult for anyone to hear. "Any girl would be like, 'He's sitting on the ring, why do I not have it?'" Pedranti commented. "It makes me sad for her."
Pedranti, who is engaged to Ryan Boyajian, empathized with Gunvalson's situation, noting that she would become frustrated and question the dynamic of the relationship if she were in a similar position. "That's got to be hard for Vicki," she added.
Gunvalson and Smith have been dating since 2022. Smith reportedly told Gunvalson he would propose if she maintained a "good girl" status for 90 consecutive days. Gunvalson rejoined "The Real Housewives of Orange County" for its 20th season this year, stating in the premiere that Smith "fills my emotional love tank" and makes her feel "empowered."
Pedranti, who joined the "RHOC" cast in 2023, also commented on Gunvalson's on-camera demeanor, noting that Gunvalson set boundaries regarding what she was willing to discuss. Pedranti described Gunvalson as having a "nurturing" side, despite instances where she could say "the craziest, rudest things."
Gunvalson and Smith divide their time between homes in La Quinta, California, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
