Jen Psaki Criticizes Trump's Rally Remarks as 'Unhinged'
The former White House press secretary highlighted several controversial statements made by Donald Trump during a recent rally in Arizona.
MS NOW anchor Jen Psaki described former President Donald Trump's recent campaign rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, as "his most unhinged performance" to date. Psaki stated that Trump is "unraveling at a pace we haven’t really seen" and is "making less and less sense" as the midterm elections approach.
Psaki focused on a particular anecdote Trump shared about doctors he travels with allegedly leaving sick individuals behind, referring to them as "collateral damage." Trump recounted a scenario where his doctors would not assist a friend who appeared to be having a heart attack, stating, "Sir. He’s collateral damage." Psaki expressed disbelief, responding, "I’m sorry, what? What? Also, that’s not what they would do."
While acknowledging that Trump's frequent controversial statements can be dismissed as part of his strategy to distract, Psaki argued that "every single Republican in every single race in the country should have to answer for the things Donald Trump is saying right now." She pointed to other remarks from the rally, including Trump's alleged call to shoot leakers, his acknowledgment of Qatar for a new Air Force One, and his assertion that high oil prices are beneficial.
