Bailee Ann DeFord, the 18-year-old daughter of musician Jelly Roll, has stated that the internet is unprepared for the full truth behind her father's divorce from Bunnie Xo. Jelly Roll, born Jason DeFord, 40, filed for divorce from Alisa DeFord, also known as Bunnie Xo, 45, in May in Williamson County, Tennessee, after 10 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. A settlement is reportedly being finalized.
In a TikTok video, Bailee Ann directly addressed online speculation, saying, "Y'all have no fg idea what happened, and wait 'till y'all find out. Just fg wait." She warned that "the view of what y'all have of not only the situation, but their relationship and the internet in totality is about to fg crumble the day that I open my mouth." She emphasized that those commenting do not understand the situation, stating, "Nobody else lived in it, so don't fg even. I'm for real so done."
Previously, Bailee Ann had expressed disgust with the public's interest in what she described as a "private family matter." She urged fans to stop speculating about the reasons for the split, noting in a TikTok post, "I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It's fkn [sic] crazy." She added, "Worry 'bout your house - not mine. I'm not speaking on it - yet."
Jelly Roll shares primary custody of Bailee Ann with his ex, Felicia Beckwith, who is Bailee's mother. News reports indicate the divorce is nearing completion.
Court documents obtained by TMZ suggest Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have agreed to keep many divorce details confidential, including asset division and a clause that prevents public criticism of each other. Bunnie Xo stated in her podcast, "Dumb Blonde," that she and Jelly Roll are still pursuing their plan to have a child together via in vitro fertilization (IVF), a decision they made two years prior. She described their situation as unconventional, noting they are still working towards co-parenting and that Jelly Roll remains her "best friend." She clarified that the separation was not due to infidelity, stating, "It's literally just we served our purpose for each other."
Jelly Roll has two other children: son Noah Buddy, nine, from a previous relationship. Bunnie Xo has also reportedly begun dating again, and was recently seen with reality TV star Dylan Wolf.
