JD Vance to Participate in Fox News Town Hall Ahead of Midterm Elections

Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to participate in a town hall event hosted by Fox News Channel's Jesse Watters on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. The pre-taped, one-hour event will air during "Jesse Watters Primetime" from Fort Worth, Texas, network officials announced Monday.

The town hall comes less than a week before the midterm elections, and will provide Vance an opportunity to address Americans directly on critical issues facing the nation. This event is part of Fox News Channel's broader coverage plans for the 2026 midterms, with control of Congress at stake.

Texas, a state that has historically leaned Republican, is anticipating competitive races. The Senate race features a contentious battle, and the gubernatorial race pits incumbent Republican Greg Abbott against Democrat Gina Hinojosa. President Donald Trump won Texas by nearly 14 points in 2024, continuing a long-standing GOP advantage in the state. However, recent polling suggests the Senate race is closely contested.

Jesse Watters, host of "Jesse Watters Primetime," averaged 2.8 million viewers in the 8 p.m. ET hour during the third quarter of 2026, making it the most-watched program in cable news for that time slot. Watters also co-hosts "The Five," which consistently ranks as the most-watched show across all of cable news. He has previously interviewed a range of political figures, including former President Donald Trump and Michigan Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
