JD Vance Snubbed by Bengals Players During Facility Visit, Viral Video Shows

Vice President JD Vance experienced a notably cool reception from nearly all Cincinnati Bengals players during a recent visit to their practice facility, as captured in a viral video. Vance, a self-proclaimed fan of the team, was in the area for engagements including a speech at the FBI's Cincinnati Field Office and a campaign rally.

During his trip, Vance made a brief stop at the Bengals' practice to observe players like Joe Burrow. However, footage shared online showed Vance waiting in the locker room and attempting to greet players as they prepared for practice. The video revealed that only tight end Drew Sample offered a handshake to the Vice President. The vast majority of the team's stars walked past Vance without acknowledgement, eliciting widespread commentary on social media.

One widely shared video depicted the snub, drawing sharp reactions from viewers. "One guy on the entire team acknowledges the existence of the vice president of the United States who is standing just feet away. Humiliating," one user commented on X, formerly Twitter. Another added, "Good for the Bengal players. Vance is an obnoxious jerk."

Quarterback Joe Burrow later addressed Vance's visit, stating he was informed about it by owner Mike Brown on the sideline. When asked if he had met the Vice President, Burrow replied, "We did not. He came with everybody and left with swiftness and efficiency before the end of practice. So I didn't get to."

Burrow commented on the presence of visitors at practice, saying, "Yeah, a lot of people around. That's what I love about what I do is it brings a lot of people together, and people want to take time out of their day to come and watch what we do, watch what I do, and watch all the work that I've put in to come and watch greatness."

According to reports, Vance's motorcade arrived at the team's practice fields around 2:15 p.m. local time. Secret Service agents and police dogs were observed patrolling the perimeter of the facility. The Bengals are currently preparing for their upcoming game against the Baltimore Ravens.

While in town, Vance also spoke at a campaign rally at the Sharonville Convention Center
