Vice President JD Vance faced public mockery from The Daily Show following an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience, where he made observations about former President Joe Biden's eating habits.
Vance described Biden's ice cream consumption in a way that prompted criticism. "The thing I couldn't get over with Biden is the way that he ate ice cream. I mean, we could bring some of this stuff up, but they would get him eating ice cream in the most ridiculous, suggestive way imaginable," Vance told Rogan.
On The Daily Show, host Michael Kosta played the clip and questioned Vance's word choice. "Suggestive…?" Kosta responded. "I remember seeing Joe Biden eating ice cream, but I don't remember pitching a tent over it." Kosta then joked that Vance might be projecting his own desires, posing the question, "Do you ever meet someone with a kink, and they assume you have it too?"
Kosta showed a montage of Biden eating ice cream, remarking that "there's nothing suggestive about it." He added, "The man uses his teeth. He's biting it like a shark. Either JD Vance doesn't know what he's talking about, or I've been giving blowjobs wrong this whole time," Kosta said, drawing laughter.
The conversation on The Daily Show then shifted to "arousing foods," with Kosta humorously diagnosing Vance with a peculiar culinary fetish. Discussing corn dogs, Vance told Rogan, "I don't know that I could do it, Joe. I try to eat my corn dogs... that's between me and my kitchen." Kosta seized on this, stating, "He's eating his corn dogs alone, over his sink in the dark. Who's making a fool of himself now?"
Tim Miller, host of The Bulwark podcast, also commented on Vance's remarks, suggesting Vance "got horny" after seeing Biden eat ice cream and asserting that "JD doesn't have the self confidence to eat a corn dog."
Vance has been making appearances on podcasts as he promotes his new memoir, "Communion."
