Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was caught on video laughing as a San Francisco 49ers fan launched into an expletive-filled tirade directed at wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. The incident occurred at a sporting event on July 3.
During the encounter, the fan, identifying as a 49ers supporter, yelled at Daniels, "Fk Brandon Aiyuk! Fk Brandon Aiyuk! Fk Brandon Aiyuk, you better not throw st to him next season! I’m a Niner fan, f**k Brandon Aiyuk!"
Daniels, who played college football with Aiyuk at Arizona State, initially acknowledged the fan before breaking into laughter. Video of the interaction shows Daniels turning to others behind him as the fan continued his rant. While Daniels appeared amused, he also seemed somewhat uncomfortable with the aggressive display.
Aiyuk, who has been with the 49ers since 2020, has reportedly expressed a desire to play for the Commanders. His time with the 49ers has been marked by some friction, including missed team activities last season and public calls for his release. This has led to a significant portion of the fanbase viewing him unfavorably. The article notes that Aiyuk's departure from San Francisco seems likely, which would resolve the ongoing tension with the team and its supporters.
