Jaxson Dart's Knee Surgery Reveals No Unexpected Complications

Jaxson Dart's left knee surgery on Friday proceeded without any unforeseen issues, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Doctors found only the anticipated damage to Dart's meniscus, PCL, and MCL.

"I think it went well. Have you ever heard the doctor tell you it didn’t go well?" Harbaugh said. "I think it was as expected. I think they saw what they thought they were going to see and just fixed it. The timeline doesn’t really change too much."

The projected recovery period is between four to six months. With the playoffs scheduled to begin in less than four months, Harbaugh acknowledged that a return during the postseason might be ambitious.

In other team news, LT Andrew Thomas (groin), RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. (knee), and LB Malik Harrison (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. CBs Doente Banks (calf) and Tyler Nubin (calf) were limited participants after missing the previous game, with Banks sitting out the last two.

Harbaugh indicated that Thomas, who played in the most recent game after a midweek rest day, might be on a similar schedule. He also stated that Tracy's injury is not considered serious.

Additionally, OLB Jihad Ward is returning to the team after being signed off the Vikings' practice squad. Ward previously played for the Giants in 2022-23, recording eight sacks in 34 games. Defensive tackle Josh Tupuo was released.
