Jaxson Dart Faces Complex Recovery After Season-Ending Knee Injury

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart's road to recovery is uncertain after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the team's recent loss to the Rams. While initial reports indicate he avoided ACL damage, the quarterback sustained injuries to his left MCL, PCL, and meniscus, necessitating surgery and ruling him out for the remainder of the regular season.
Giants coach John Harbaugh has not definitively ruled out a return for Dart during the postseason, but orthopedic specialists have highlighted several variables that will influence his comeback. Dr. Yair Kissin, vice chairman of orthopedic surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center, described the hit on Dart as "tape that gives you the willies."
"Just from the right angle you can see what happened," Dr. Kissin, who has not treated Dart, stated. "Anyone who has, sees that that’s a pretty significant impact that [Dart] had. … I’m not surprised that there are other associated injuries with this."
