Jax Taylor has publicly declared his love for Lori Krebs, the former publicist for himself and his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. Taylor, who recently stated he is "taken," told a paparazzo outside a Los Angeles gym on Wednesday that he is "in love" with Krebs and credits her with his current happiness and improved mental health.
"I love [Krebs] to death. You can’t help who you fall in love with. Everybody deserves to find happiness," Taylor said, describing his relationship with Krebs, 42, as "the best thing that’s ever happened" to him. He reiterated that he is "with somebody who I love very much, and she’s good for me."
Taylor's comments come after Cartwright publicly criticized both Taylor and Krebs. Cartwright, who is in the process of separating from Taylor and co-parents their 5-year-old son, Cruz, branded Krebs a "snake" and Taylor a "narcissist." She expressed heartbreak that Krebs, whom she considered a close friend, would allegedly choose Taylor over their decade-long friendship, knowing his personality.
Taylor acknowledged that Cartwright "has every right" to be upset but asserted that "a lot of the stuff she’s saying is untrue." He claimed to have undergone significant rehabilitation for substance and mental health issues since their 2024 separation, which he described as the "darkest point in [his] life." Taylor feels it is unfair for Cartwright to bring up past issues, particularly in light of his new relationship, which became public last month after photos surfaced of them on a getaway.
Sources close to Taylor have indicated that his relationship with Krebs did not begin until several months ago, after both were single. These sources described their connection as developing organically, particularly as Krebs supported Taylor through his struggles with substance and mental health. They emphasized that this is Taylor's first relationship while sober, and he is taking it very seriously. According to these sources, Krebs' relationship with Cartwright was strictly professional, limited to booking media appearances, especially after Taylor and Cartwright's separation.
Krebs has not publicly commented on the situation. Taylor and Cartwright have been married for nearly five years.
