Jax Taylor has publicly accused his ex-wife, Brittany Cartwright, of career sabotage amidst their ongoing divorce proceedings. In an extensive Instagram post on Friday, Taylor, 47, detailed an incident involving a purported brand deal with Smartwater that he later discovered was illegitimate.

Taylor explained that he accepted what he believed to be a legitimate campaign opportunity through a marketing platform, VideoForce.ai. However, he soon realized the campaign was unauthorized, leading him to remove related content. He stated that he "never and would never intentionally misrepresent a partnership."

However, Taylor claimed that Cartwright turned this "honest mistake" into "pure entertainment in an attempt to humiliate me." He further alleged that his ex-wife "chose to publicly mock me and embarrass me instead of handling it privately." Taylor asserted that despite their personal differences, their shared responsibility as parents to a young child should warrant a certain level of respect. He contended that he has remained largely silent out of respect for Cartwright as their son's mother and that attempts are consistently made to undermine his efforts to rebuild his life and pursue new opportunities.

Taylor specifically claimed that Cartwright has interfered with his work by "directly contacting networks and brands," which he stated has affected his ability to earn a living. He expressed that he did not want to make the situation public but felt compelled to speak out due to what he described as ongoing falsehoods.

Cartwright addressed the situation on her podcast, "When Reality Hits," suggesting Taylor was attempting to alter his public image with the since-deleted post. Following Taylor's statement, she responded on her Instagram stories, denying his allegations. She claimed she opened a direct message about the situation live while recording her podcast and stated, "Blame people for their awful actions, not the person who is having to live with it daily." She added, "I'm done. I'm the one who REALLY has stayed quiet. Keep blaming me with no accountability for your own actions. Not anymore."

Taylor reiterated his claims to Us Weekly, stating that Cartwright "chose to contact the brand, laugh about it on her podcast, and post false accusations on social media, turning something that could have been handled privately into a public spectacle." He also mentioned his commitment to sobriety and mental health, noting that he has been sober for nearly two years and has found it difficult to remain silent for the past year out of respect for their son.

A source close to Cartwright denied Taylor's accusations, telling Us Weekly that "the accountability lies with Jax, yet he continues to lie, deflect, and refuse to take responsibility for the damage he's caused." The insider asserted that if Taylor is struggling to secure work, it is due to his own actions, not Cartwright's.

This public dispute occurs as rumors intensify about Taylor dating Lori Krebs, his and Cartwright's former publicist. Taylor confirmed he is in a new relationship, responding to a fan's comment on the since-deleted Smartwater post by stating, "No thanks I am taken."

Taylor and Krebs were reportedly seen together on vacation in mid-July, fueling speculation. Following the news of their close interaction, Cartwright reportedly fired Krebs. A source told People that Cartwright was "very upset" but "not surprised," as she had sensed a bond between Krebs and Taylor that was "more than client-rep."

Cartwright, who shares five-year-old son Cruz with Taylor, stated on her podcast that she would share her "truth" about the matter soon, emphasizing her focus on her son and her peace. She indicated that she felt betrayed by Krebs, especially after having trusted her when similar rumors first surfaced years prior.

Taylor and Cartwright announced their separation in February 2024, with Cartwright filing for divorce in August of that year. During a July 2025 appearance on "Watch What Happens Live," Cartwright described the divorce proceedings as delayed due to "a lot of stuff" that had occurred.
