Jason Pierre-Paul Offers Services to Giants After Brian Burns Injury

Former New York Giants first-round pick Jason Pierre-Paul has indicated his interest in rejoining the team after linebacker Brian Burns was reported to have suffered a season-ending torn ACL. Pierre-Paul, 37, posted on X, formerly Twitter, tagging the Giants and asking, "@Giants what’s up." The veteran pass rusher played for the Giants from 2010 to 2017, earning an All-Pro selection and two Pro Bowl nods. He won Super Bowl XLVI with the team. Pierre-Paul last played in the NFL in 2022 for the Baltimore Ravens and spent time on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad in late 2025, appearing in three games. Burns sustained his knee injury in the fourth quarter of the Giants' 12-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. He had been dealing with a sprained left ankle entering the game. This injury to Burns follows a recent season-ending knee injury to Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, who underwent surgery for meniscus and MCL damage. Burns had recorded zero sacks in three games this season. He is the team's highest-paid player, with a five-year, $141 million contract extending through the 2028 season.
