Comedian Jason Manford has reportedly paid a substantial tax bill of £1.1 million after liquidating his holding company, Invisible Man Ltd. The payment covers PAYE and National Insurance contributions and comes after Manford sold portions of his ten-property real estate portfolio to fund costs associated with his 2017 divorce from his first wife, Catherine.

Manford's property sales generated over £3 million, which was used to settle the financial implications of the legal split. While the company Invisible Man Ltd, primarily a holding entity for investment properties, has been placed into voluntary liquidation, Manford's other company, Gerald Dean Limited, still holds £2.1 million in assets. He had initially built his property empire through buy-to-let investments in Greater Manchester following his success in comedy.

Career and Personal Life

Manford, 45, has cultivated a prominent career in UK entertainment over nearly three decades. He is known for his stand-up comedy tours and television roles, including appearances on "8 Out Of 10 Cats." He currently hosts the drive-time show on BBC Radio 2. His public profile also includes roles in musical theatre and television presenting, such as "Children In Need" and "The Olivier Awards."

Manford married Catherine in October 2007, and they had four children before their marriage ended. He has spoken about the dissolution of their marriage, attributing it to a lack of attention and care. In 2010, he briefly stepped down from his role on "The One Show" following revelations about his online interactions.

He married TV producer Lucy Dykes in 2017, the same year his divorce from Catherine was finalized. The couple has two children together. Manford has previously commented on his large family, noting that while it presents challenges, it is also filled with love and support from various family members.

In recent years, Manford has continued to expand his professional endeavors. He starred in the UK premiere of the musical "Something Rotten" and is set to appear in a new travel series with Gary Barlow. He is also preparing for his "A Manford All Seasons" UK comedy tour.

Last year, it was reported that Manford had listed his family home in Cheshire, a seven-bedroom property purchased in 2019 for £1,375,000, for £2.4 million. The current status of this sale remains unconfirmed.
