Jason Kelce Jokes About Eagles Fan Wedding, Compares to Brother's Nuptials
The former Eagles player officiated a tailgate wedding and playfully ranked it against his brother Travis's wedding to Taylor Swift.
Philadelphia Eagles fans Lindsey Carl and Brandon Byrd exchanged vows in a parking lot ceremony at Lincoln Financial Field before a game against the Dallas Cowboys. The tailgate wedding was sponsored by Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce's Garage Beer brand, with Jason Kelce in attendance.
During an appearance on Monday Night Countdown, Jason Kelce humorously described the event as "the most legendary wedding I've been to this year." When host Scott Van Pelt questioned if he was serious, referencing Travis Kelce's summer wedding to Taylor Swift, Jason Kelce backtracked, saying he might "walk that back" and rank the Eagles fan wedding as second best.
The ceremony saw Carl in a white wedding dress and Eagles cowboy boots, while Byrd wore a green suit with Eagles socks. The couple exchanged rings, accompanied by music from the Philly Pops and officiated by former Philadelphia Phillies star Shane Victorino. Following their declaration as husband and wife, the newlyweds released white doves.
Jason Kelce and former Eagles player Beau Allen were present to congratulate the couple and distribute cans of Garage Beer. Kelce had previously served as best man at his brother Travis's wedding to Taylor Swift, an event he described as a "melting pot of individuals" with a "gorgeous" ceremony.
