Jared Young Hospitalized After Collision with Teammate

Jared Young, first baseman for the New York Mets, remained hospitalized as of Friday afternoon following a collision with teammate Nolan McLean during a game Thursday night. Young was alert and conscious but experiencing significant concussion symptoms.

Sources indicated that a CT scan for Young came back negative, and he has feeling in his extremities, which are encouraging signs after he was knocked unconscious and stretchered off the field. "At this point in time, it looks like he avoided the સૌથી scary outcome," interim manager Andy Green said Thursday.

Further updates on Young's condition were expected Friday afternoon ahead of the Mets' game against the Phillies. The collision occurred in the sixth inning as both players scrambled to make a play at first base, resulting in McLean's knee striking Young's head.
