Jannik Sinner shared a moment with Britain's Prince William, Princess Kate, and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, after successfully defending his Wimbledon title on Sunday. The 24-year-old Italian player received congratulations from the royal family shortly after defeating Germany's Alexander Zverev in the championship match.
Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 11, engaged in conversation with Sinner, who held his championship trophy. Their younger brother, Prince Louis, eight, was not present. Prince William and Princess Kate appeared to be in conversation with the tennis star as he celebrated his victory.
Sinner secured his second consecutive Wimbledon title with a 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Zverev. This victory marks his achievement as the 10th man in the Open era to retain the title.
Princess Kate presented Sinner with the trophy. She had also been present at last year's final, where she handed Sinner his first Wimbledon trophy. During Sunday's match, she was seen wearing a green dress and later donned a sunhat to shield from the 29C heat. Prince George was also seen using a portable fan and wearing sunglasses. Princess Charlotte also wore a sunhat.
Earlier in the tournament, Kate attended a match involving British player Arthur Fery, who reached the semi-final for the first time in 25 years as a wildcard. Fery mentioned that he had invited the Princess of Wales's children to play tennis with him, stating that the entire royal family are tennis fans.
