Actress Jane Seymour, 75, has revealed that she steers clear of yoga, attributing her avoidance to an overly competitive personality. Seymour explained that her "A-type" nature would lead her to try and outdo others in a yoga class, a situation she believes could result in injury.

"I want to win… Which means that I can never have done yoga, and I will decide that I could turn myself into the pretzel like that person. No. No, I cannot. I’ll end up in the hospital or something, so… My approach is to try everything, but do it the way that I know I can. So, I listen to my body," Seymour told Fox News Digital.

Instead, Seymour maintains an active lifestyle through a combination of exercises. Her routine includes using light weights, brisk walking, and incorporating Pilates and Gyrotonics. She also practices traditional exercises like sit-ups and ballet movements, drawing from her early dance training.

Her approach to fitness emphasizes movement, moderation, and an understanding of her own physical boundaries. This philosophy extends to her diet, which typically follows a Mediterranean pattern, with a conscious effort to limit starches without completely eliminating them. Seymour also noted that she drinks alcohol in moderation, abstaining entirely when she is working on set.

Seymour's consistent energy has been a hallmark throughout her career, noted by her former "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" co-star Joe Lando. Lando recalled filming long days even when Seymour was pregnant with twins, observing her relentless energy. Seymour attributes her stamina to a genuine love for her work, stating, "I just do, you know, and then when I stop, I sleep."

She is currently starring in and executive producing the fifth season of "Harry Wild," which is available on Acorn TV. The show reunites her with Lando, her co-star from "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman."
