Jane Bunn Addresses Fan Concerns Over Weight Loss, Denies Ozempic Rumors

Popular Channel Seven weather presenter Jane Bunn has responded to fan concerns about her significant weight loss, clarifying that her transformation is due to a focus on her health rather than the use of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic.

Bunn, 47, recently showcased her trim physique at the St Kilda Best and Fairest Awards, wearing a purple blouse and a black ruffled skirt. Photos shared on social media prompted comments from viewers expressing worry about her health and appearance, with some speculating about her use of Ozempic.

In response to the online discussion, Bunn told the Herald Sun that her lifestyle shift has been focused on her well-being. "For the past few months I've really been prioritising my health. That shift has brought so much energy and joy into my life," she stated. "I'm feeling terrific, happy and healthy. I'm always surprised people are so interested. I feel strong, balanced and genuinely happy."

She further explained that a change in the Seven News Melbourne studio, which now features full-length shots, prompted her to reconsider her approach to eating. "I know that sounds really weird, but... you don't need to eat every single thing that is in front of you. Only eat until you are actually satisfied," Bunn said. "There is actually this sign in your head that tells you 'you have eaten enough' and I struggled with that for a long time – about actually listening to that – and now I do."

Bunn first publicly acknowledged a health journey in September of the previous year during the Brownlow Medal event. In March 2022, she had shared insights into her fitness routine, mentioning a reliance on a personal trainer for one-on-one sessions and engaging in barre, Pilates, and High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) before work. She also described her ideal Saturday as an early morning walk followed by lunch and socializing.

Jane Bunn has cultivated a significant following since moving from Sky News' The Weather Channel to WIN News Victoria in 2009, earning the title of Australia's most popular weather presenter.
