Jamie Laing, a personality known for the reality show 'Made In Chelsea,' has recounted two significant travel ordeals: a terrifying robbery in Brazil during his youth and a tumultuous honeymoon. Laing shared these experiences as part of his reflections on travel highs and lows with The Sunday Times.

While on a gap year in Rio de Janeiro, Laing was walking along Copacabana beach at night when he was cornered by approximately eight individuals. One of the attackers brandished a machete and held it to Laing's throat. He was subsequently robbed and had to return to his friends dressed only in his underwear. Laing described the incident as a formative experience, stating he flew home broke and having lost a significant amount of weight.

Laing also detailed his honeymoon with his wife, Sophie Habboo, which he described as a "nightmare." The couple's trip to Panama was marred by extreme heat and humidity, a lost suitcase, and a series of flight delays and cancellations. Laing explained that he had organized the honeymoon during Panama's summer season, leading to temperatures of 38 degrees Celsius and oppressive humidity. Their journey from London to Panama City, followed by a flight to one of the islands, was disrupted when their initial flight was delayed, causing them to miss their connecting flight. Laing noted that he did not have his suitcase for the entire duration of the honeymoon.

More recently, Laing shared images from a family trip to Mallorca, where he posted a bikini photo of his wife, Sophie Habboo, who is seven months postpartum. The couple, who welcomed their son Ziggy in December, were in Mallorca for the wedding of their former 'Made In Chelsea' co-star Emily Blackwell.
