Jamie Foxx, 58, recently returned to the tennis court in Westlake, California, as he anticipates the birth of his third child. The appearance comes three years after the actor experienced a serious stroke.
Foxx was observed playing tennis on Saturday, engaging in what appeared to be a vigorous match. Images from the outing show him focused on the game, at times using his shirt to wipe away sweat and sporting a determined expression.
The actor is expecting his first child with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp. Sources confirmed in May that Huckstepp was several months pregnant, and this will be Foxx's third child overall. He is already father to daughters Corinne, 32, and Anelise, 17.
The news of the impending arrival follows a challenging period for Foxx, who suffered a stroke in April 2023. He later revealed in a December 2024 Netflix special that he lost 20 days of memory and was unable to walk for a period following the medical emergency, which he described as a bleed on the brain.
Foxx recalled the experience, stating he did not remember 20 days and woke up in a wheelchair. He credited his sister Deidra with saving his life by taking him to the hospital. While the exact cause of the brain bleed remains a mystery, Foxx has spoken about his recovery journey, emphasizing his return to health and ability to walk again.
Foxx and Huckstepp's relationship has seen periods of public attention, including reports of a separation in early 2025 followed by reconciliation rumors and a public outing in April. Huckstepp was reportedly a source of support for Foxx during his health crisis.
