James Packer and his new wife, Kylie Lim, have tied the knot in Sardinia, Italy. Lim, 46, shared a photo from the wedding ceremony on Thursday, which appeared to take place on the billionaire's superyacht IJE. The socialite made her Instagram page public, posting an image of herself and Packer, 58, on what seemed to be their wedding day.
Lim wore a strapless gown with floral appliqué and a veil, accessorized with diamonds and holding her Cavoodle, Waffle. Packer was dressed in a blue suit, white shirt, black sneakers, and sunglasses. In her Instagram caption, Lim wrote, "After 13 years…my heart and always will always be each other's home ❤️." The post drew congratulations from friends, including Karl Stefanovic, who commented, "Exquisite. The big fella looks sharp."
Lim's Instagram account also features photos of the couple from previous months, including one from July 2 showing them on Packer's superyacht and Lim wearing her engagement ring. Another image from August 2 depicts Lim in a purple dress posing with Packer, and a July 28 photo shows the couple and Lim's dog on a jetski. A spokesperson confirmed the couple's marriage to news.com.au last week.
Their wedding followed shortly after Packer's niece, Francesca Packer, and her husband Robert Bates, hosted their own wedding celebrations in Mallorca, Spain. Packer's superyacht was observed near Sardinia's Costa Smeralda region after leaving Mallorca.
This appears to be Lim's first marriage. Packer has been married twice before. He was previously married to model Jodhi Meares from 1999 to 2002, and later to model and singer Erica Baxter from 2007 to 2013. Packer and Baxter have three children together: Indigo, Jackson, and Emmanuelle. He was also engaged to Kate Fischer before their split in 1998. His most high-profile engagement was to singer Mariah Carey, which ended in 2016.
Packer and Lim reportedly began dating after being introduced by mutual friends in Aspen, Colorado, and confirmed their engagement in March. They were together from late 2017 to 2020 before rekindling their romance last year. Packer has previously credited Lim with providing support during a difficult period in his life following his split from Carey and his own struggles with substance abuse and mental health issues, including bipolar disorder and depression.
