James Jordan, known for his tenure on 'Strictly Come Dancing', has been seen publicly for the first time since reports surfaced of his split from wife Ola.

The couple, who have been together since 1999 and married in 2003, announced their separation on Friday. News reports indicate that James has moved out of their family home in Kent, staying in a separate flat.

Jordan was observed heading to the shops, noticeably without his wedding ring. He was seen smoking a cigarette, an habit he had reportedly quit four years prior, a decision he attributed to his late father Allan's dying wish. James had previously shared that his father urged him to quit to be present for his daughter, Ella, who is now six years old.

In a joint statement, the couple revealed they were taking time apart to work through personal challenges, describing the decision as painful and emotional. They emphasized that their daughter Ella remains their absolute priority, and they are committed to co-parenting her with stability and love.

James disclosed in the statement that his mental health has been a significant concern for some time, and he is taking time to focus on his well-being. Ola has reportedly been supportive during this difficult period.

The couple first met at a dance competition in 1999 and became professional partners before their relationship developed romantically. They welcomed Ella in February 2020 after a three-year fertility battle. Both James and Ola gained fame as professional dancers on 'Strictly Come Dancing', with James leaving in 2013 and Ola in 2015.

James has previously spoken about battling anxiety and grief following his father's death in March 2021 from a stage four brain tumor. At that time, he credited Ola and their daughter for helping him through a dark period.
