Actor James Franco has released security footage, claiming it depicts an alien that visited his home. The black-and-white video shows a figure resembling a typical Hollywood depiction of an extraterrestrial, with a large rounded head and bulging eyes, moving through bushes and emerging from a garage.

Franco, 48, posted the footage on social media, stating, "You wanted it. Here it is. I deliver." This release follows several weeks of alarming videos in which Franco alleged an extraterrestrial visitation and claimed he was being followed.

The footage has drawn skepticism from some online users, with comments questioning its authenticity and suggesting it might be related to Franco's professional work. "Are we all forgetting HE IS A PROFESSIONAL ACTOR?????" one user commented. Another asked, "OK now be real with us. Is this for a movie or is this legit footage?"

Christian Guiton, the director of Franco's upcoming film "Love Meets in the Sunshine," denied speculation that the videos were a promotional tactic for the movie, stating on TikTok, "It's not a science fiction movie. It's not a conspiracy movie. If I was promoting Sunshine, this is not how we would do it."

Franco's recent online activity marks a return to the public eye after he largely withdrew from public life in 2019. At that time, five women filed lawsuits alleging inappropriate and sexual behavior on his part. Franco's attorney denied the allegations, and the lawsuits were eventually settled. In a previous interview, Franco acknowledged sleeping with students during his teaching career, stating it was wrong, and attributed his past behavior to sex addiction.

His career was significantly impacted by the allegations, leading to a hiatus from major film roles. Franco has been gradually re-emerging in the entertainment industry, taking on smaller roles. He recently appeared in the thriller "Bunny-Man" and is slated to portray Fidel Castro in the upcoming biopic "Castro's Daughter."
