Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville has sharply criticized elements of the far-left within the Democratic Party, suggesting they hold a misguided ideology that values communist figures over American civil rights leaders.

On his "Politics War Room" podcast, Carville characterized these individuals as "overeducated little White turds" who believe they possess superior knowledge and understanding compared to others. He argued that this faction exhibits paternalism and a distorted view of history, even suggesting that prominent Black American leaders are complicit in American imperialism.

"They think that Lenin was a more glorious human being than Martin Luther King or Frederick Douglass. That's what they really think," Carville stated, urging listeners to view such individuals with extreme skepticism. He posited that they believe they know what is best for others, even better than those individuals know for themselves.

Carville has consistently cautioned the Democratic Party against embracing far-left culture-war politics. His recent remarks come amid the growing influence of democratic socialists within the party, prompting him to suggest a potential schism to prevent radicals from gaining control.

He recalled instances of socialist politicians advocating for positions such as calling for the indictment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or speaking out against interracial dating. Carville believes these stances are misguided and detached from the party's broader base.

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) recently put forth a policy platform that drew criticism, including proposals for an end to all deportations, free migration, and the abolition of the U.S. Senate. According to a recent Fox News Poll, support for socialism among Democrats has surpassed that for capitalism.
