Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will be sidelined for the next three months as he recovers from a serious health issue involving blood clots. The team announced that Hurts was initially diagnosed with superficial vein thrombosis in his left calf. However, further testing revealed the presence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) as well as bilateral pulmonary emboli.
This more severe diagnosis means Hurts' NFL season will conclude in October as he focuses on his recovery. Tanner McKee will step in as the starting quarterback for the Eagles in Hurts' absence.
