Jalen Hurts Caught on Hot Mic Cursing at Eagles Receivers During Rams Loss
Quarterback Jalen Hurts was heard on a hot mic yelling at his receivers to 'Get off the f--king ball!' during the Philadelphia Eagles' loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was captured on a hot mic expressing frustration with his receivers during Sunday's 20-24 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The incident occurred in the first quarter as Hurts was heard yelling, “Get off the f–king ball! Come on!” toward his receivers while at the line of scrimmage.
The audible frustration was noted by broadcasters Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt. The Eagles led 20-10 at halftime but failed to score in the second half, converting on only one of their second-half third-down opportunities. The offense struggled throughout the game, with Hurts throwing for only 93 yards, marking the first time he failed to reach 100 passing yards in a game he started and finished.
The defense also allowed the Rams to erase a 10-point deficit, giving up 14 points in the fourth quarter. This marks the second consecutive game where the Eagles have lost a lead, having previously let a first-half advantage slip against the Chicago Bears in Week 3.
The Eagles are currently 2-2 on the season and sit second in the NFC East. The team is dealing with numerous injuries, with nine starters, including running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver Devonta Smith, sidelined by the end of Sunday's game.
Despite the on-field struggles and the hot mic moment, Hurts maintained a composed demeanor when addressing the media after the game. He emphasized the team's ongoing development and the need for persistence. "I have the utmost confidence in this team. I have the utmost confidence in this group. We just have to endure. Be persistent, and keep committing to one another. Keep committing to the work of becoming a better group together," Hurts stated.
The Eagles are scheduled to travel to London to face the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday.
