Missé Beqiri, the ex-partner of the late reality television personality Jake Hall, has spoken about the profound difficulty of informing their eight-year-old daughter, River, of his death. Beqiri described the experience as the "worst thing she's ever had to do" and reflected on the "awful shock" following Hall's passing last month at the age of 35.

Hall sustained fatal injuries after reportedly smashing his head through a glass door at a villa in Santa Margalida, Mallorca. In a recent interview, Beqiri shared that receiving the news of Hall's death was the "worst phone call of her life." She recalled a sense of disbelief, stating, "Even today, I keep thinking: 'Is this really happening?' Getting that call from his family to let me know, I remember that I kept saying: 'There's no way,' and then everything went black. I can't remember any of it."

The immediate concern for Beqiri was how to convey the news to River. "The first person I thought about was River. How can I tell her that her dad is gone? I kept thinking: 'I don't know if I am able to do this,'" she told The Sun.

River has been understandably upset by the news and is now receiving therapy to process her father's death. Beqiri noted the difficulty River is experiencing, sharing that her daughter asked, "Do people know I don't have a dad now? It's so much for her little brain to process."

This is not the first tragedy Beqiri has experienced. She also lost her brother, Flamur Beqiri, who was known as Alex, seven years ago. Alex Beqiri was fatally shot by a hired assassin on Christmas Eve in 2019. Reflecting on the loss of both Hall and her brother, Beqiri expressed her grief, stating, "How is this happening to me again?"

On Father's Day, Beqiri paid tribute to both Hall and her brother on social media. She shared a photograph of the two men, writing about her gratitude and their shared sense of humor. "Two men, dads, sons, brothers. Today it's Father's Day and I'm honouring these two fathers, my brother Alex and Jake... I love you both and I know you're watching over us and the babies. Our hearts are broken and at the same time I laugh because that's all you guys ever did... Life is very short, and sometimes we forget to look around us and say thank you, so Thank you," she posted.

Jake Hall, who rose to fame on the reality series TOWIE in 2015, and Beqiri were previously engaged. Despite a restraining order placed between them in 2018, they later co-parented their daughter. A funeral celebrating Hall's life featured an exhibition of his art and tributes from friends and collaborators. His family has announced the establishment of The Choose Everything Foundation in his memory, with proceeds directed towards the foundation and his daughter River. Hall's brother, Sonny, spoke at the memorial, vowing to help care for River and continue Hall's mission through art and the foundation.
