Actress Jaime Winstone is enjoying a pre-Strictly Come Dancing getaway in Ibiza with her husband, James Suckling, and friends. The holiday comes just weeks before she is set to begin rehearsals for the upcoming season of the BBC's popular dance competition.

Winstone, 41, was seen on a boat trip, soaking up the sun in a polka-dot swimsuit and participating in paddleboarding. The actress, whose father is actor Ray Winstone, shared moments of her trip, including affectionate moments with her DJ husband. The couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary in Sicily.

Last week, Winstone was pictured in London with the other celebrity contestants for the 2026 series of Strictly Come Dancing, as they met for the first time at a dance studio. She expressed her excitement about joining the show, stating, "I am no stranger to a dance floor, but the ballroom is a whole new world for me. I love a challenge though, so can’t wait to enter my showgirl era and get super sparkly!! Let’s get physical – see you on the dance floor!"

Winstone's acting career began in 2004, and she has appeared in films such as "Made in Dagenham," "Bullet Boy," and "Tomb Raider." Her television credits include "Dead Set," "Poirot," and the BBC drama "Four Lives." She also received acclaim for her portrayal of Barbara Windsor in the BBC biopic "Babs" and later took on the role of Peggy Mitchell in "EastEnders" flashback specials.

The upcoming season of "Strictly Come Dancing" has seen several changes, including new presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stepping down. Comedian Josh Widdicombe, Emma Willis, and professional dancer Johannes Radebe will take over hosting duties. The celebrity lineup was announced on social media this year, a departure from previous years.

Celebrity contestants meeting for the first time

Producers appear to be focusing on contestants with significant social media followings, a strategy reportedly influenced by the success of "Dancing With The Stars." This approach has led to some confusion among long-time viewers who may not recognize all the celebrity participants. A source noted that while traditional viewers might not know all the signings, their large and enthusiastic followings can significantly boost the show's profile and attract new audiences. This shift is also reflected in the professional dancer lineup, with an emphasis on pros with a stronger online presence.
