A model who appeared in Penthouse magazine has stated she is willing to testify against her billionaire ex-fiancé, Stephen Cloobeck, in his upcoming court case. Adva Lavie made the statement during jailhouse calls to her ex-husband, porn star Edan Ives, which were revealed during a mental health diversion hearing in Los Angeles on Monday.
In 10 recorded calls, Lavie and Ives discussed "using the f–k out of" Cloobeck's credit card after their relationship ended last month. Lavie also told Ives that she was prepared to testify against Cloobeck, who faces felony charges including witness intimidation related to Lavie's case. Detective Angela Lopez presented the calls during the hearing, noting Lavie's affectionate language towards Ives, despite prosecutors' claims that Ives had been abusive towards Lavie.
Cloobeck pleaded not guilty to all charges during a court appearance on Friday at the same courthouse. According to reports, Cloobeck is no longer covering Lavie's defense costs, leaving her to manage her legal fees independently. Lavie is currently represented by attorneys Lou Shaipiro, Jeffrey Rubenstein, and Jeremy Lessem.
Lavie's defense team has requested her release into a rehabilitation facility for a six-month program focused on mental health and substance abuse. The facility, located in Orange County, reportedly prohibits cell phone use.
Lavie faces up to 11 years in prison, and a decision on her diversion request was expected later Monday. Lavie and Ives were officially divorced in March; Ives described their past relationship as an "open one" where they created adult content together.
