Jaguars Stun Eagles with Late Field Goal in London Showdown
Cam Little's 57-yard kick secures a dramatic 19-17 victory for Jacksonville, handing Philadelphia their third loss of the season.
The Jacksonville Jaguars secured a dramatic 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in London on Sunday, sealed by a 57-yard field goal from kicker Cam Little with seconds remaining. The win moves the Jaguars to 4-1 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 2-3.
The game, played in London, saw a chaotic start. An apparent 90-yard kickoff return touchdown for the Jaguars was nullified by offsetting penalties. In the ensuing scuffle, Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Jaguars blocker Bryan Thomas Jr. were ejected.
Philadelphia took a late lead with eight seconds left after kicker Jake Elliott converted a field goal. However, a crucial kickoff return by Ameer Abdullah put the Jaguars in position to attempt the game-winning kick. Little's successful 57-yard attempt proved to be the decisive score.
Following the kick, Little ran towards the opposite end zone and appeared to taunt Eagles fans. The Jaguars' victory came despite accumulating 13 penalties for 100 yards throughout the contest.
