Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are reportedly living together again and are happier than ever in their 28-year marriage. An insider told People magazine on Monday that Pinkett Smith moved back in with Smith in 2024, stating, "They are happy and love each other and are, as ever, committed to supporting each other."
The couple, who met in 1994 on the set of Smith's sitcom, have navigated public scrutiny throughout their relationship. Three years ago, Pinkett Smith disclosed on TODAY that she and Smith had been living separately for seven years following her 2016 "entanglement" with August Alsina.
Despite the challenges, Pinkett Smith has stated that divorce was never an option and that she grew even closer to Smith after his altercation with Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards in 2022. Smith was subsequently banned from attending Academy events for 10 years.
In recent months, the couple has been seen together publicly. Last month, they were spotted in Paris supporting their son Jaden's Christian Louboutin collection during Paris Fashion Week, accompanied by their other children.
Pinkett Smith was also present with Smith when he returned to his native Philadelphia for a Fourth of July concert. The couple co-founded their multimedia and entertainment company, Westbrook, in 2019 and share significant property holdings, including a compound in Calabasas, California, and residences in Hawaii and Pennsylvania.
Smith has maintained a busy professional schedule, including a recent 100-day global filming tour for a Disney+ travel series and upcoming roles in the Amazon MGM Studios action thriller "Supermax." Pinkett Smith is set to reprise her role as Lena James in a 10-episode sequel to "A Different World" premiering on Netflix in September.
In May, a lawsuit against Smith by violinist Brian King Joseph concerning sexual harassment and wrongful termination was dismissed by a judge. Smith also released his fifth studio album, "Based on a True Story," last year, which received mixed reviews and did not chart significantly.
