Jackie 'O' Henderson's talent manager, Gemma O'Neill, was observed appearing somber while out in public as her business faces substantial tax liabilities. O'Neill's Gemmie Agency reportedly owes the Australian Taxation Office over $615,000.
This comes as Henderson, O'Neill's longtime close friend and client, has reportedly removed O'Neill's contact details from her Instagram bio. The bio now solely features a link to Henderson's memoir, "The Whole Truth."
Reports from May indicated a cooling of the friendship between Henderson and O'Neill, with sources suggesting a strain on their relationship. These reports emerged as Henderson initiated legal proceedings against ARN, the company that terminated her contract to host KIIS FM's Sydney breakfast show.
O'Neill, as Henderson's manager, was likely involved in discussions leading up to the contract's termination. However, a source close to O'Neill has pushed back against claims of a rift, asserting that the two individuals remain friends and communicate regularly.
Gemmie Agency entered voluntary liquidation in November. Administrators noted that the agency's debts were significant, particularly in contrast to a substantial commission paid by an unnamed key client between October 2023 and March 2024. O'Neill reportedly informed administrators in February that she was unable to make repayment contributions due to a lack of personal savings, limited income, and an inability to refinance a Sydney apartment.
The situation with O'Neill's agency and her financial standing has coincided with the fallout from the termination of Henderson's contract with KIIS FM. Henderson is currently involved in a Federal Court case against ARN Media regarding the termination of her reported $100 million contract. Court documents indicate months of internal tension preceding the public breakdown of the "Kyle and Jackie O Show."
