Jack Garratt and Foxes Confirm Relationship
The British musicians announced their romance on Instagram after a day out.
British musicians Jack Garratt and Foxes have publicly confirmed they are dating, sharing their relationship on Instagram. The couple made their romance Instagram official on Wednesday, following a day trip to the Babbacombe Model Village in Torquay.
BRIT Award winner Jack Garratt posted a selfie with Foxes, whose real name is Louisa Rose Allen, to mark the confirmation. Foxes responded to the post by writing, "Best/ most overwhelming day of my life x." Garratt added, "Official review," to which Foxes replied, "@jackgarratt take snacks and it’s okay if you cry half way through x." Garratt then playfully teased, "@iamfoxes good advice for being in a relationship."
Fans expressed their joy at the news in the comments section. Many shared sentiments of happiness for the couple, with some also calling for a musical collaboration between the two artists.
Garratt and Foxes have been seen exchanging heart emojis on each other's social media posts. Earlier in the summer, Foxes shared a photo on Instagram of Garratt playing the guitar while they relaxed on a sofa.
This public announcement follows Garratt's divorce from his wife Sarah, which was confirmed in 2021. The couple married in August 2018 and had been together for two years. Garratt had previously spoken about Sarah's support during difficult periods in his life, including when he contemplated suicide.
In 2021, Garratt announced his divorce on Instagram, stating he was feeling "tired and anxious" and was working through the separation "without holding onto unhealthy feelings of resentment and betrayal." He met Sarah while she was interning at a London record label. Their wedding took place in Southwark Street, London, with the reception held at the live music venue OMEARA.
Garratt had publicly shared his struggles with mental health, describing a recurring negative inner voice. He recounted an incident in New York with his then-fiancée, Sarah, where he experienced a breakdown due to self-loathing. He credited his wife for her support during that night, stating she "took care of me and picked me up off the floor."
