British actor Jack Cutmore-Scott is set to join the cast of the FOX series 'Best Medicine' as a new character named Parker. Cutmore-Scott, 39, will make his first appearance in Season 2, Episode 4, titled "Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow," which is scheduled to air on Tuesday, October 20.

Parker's arrival in Port Wenn, Maine, is under professional pretenses. FOX describes the character as a charming and friendly individual sent to monitor Dr. Martin Best's (Josh Charles) medical compliance. However, Parker is also slated to develop a romantic connection with Louisa (Abigail Spencer).

The synopsis for the upcoming episode reveals that Martin will be assisting the husband of a magician duo after his wife's death at the Salty Breeze. Concurrently, Eden discovers a letter Martin wrote to Louisa, believing it was intended for her. The episode will also feature Martin's new medical monitor, who immediately forms a connection with Louisa.

Cutmore-Scott brings a diverse acting background to 'Best Medicine,' with numerous credits in film, television, and voice acting. He is recognized for his role as Freddy Crane in the 'Frasier' reboot on Paramount+ and recently completed work on Emma Frost's 'The Age of Innocence' for Netflix. His television credits also include appearances in 'Magnum P.I.,' 'Hawaii Five-0,' 'Deception,' 'Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life,' 'Death and Other Details,' and 'Law & Order.'

In film, Cutmore-Scott has been part of major productions such as Matthew Vaughn's 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' and Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer,' 'Tenet,' and 'Dunkirk.' He also has notable stage experience, with Broadway credits including 'Cyrano de Bergerac' and 'Arcadia.' He previously played Claudio in Shakespeare in the Park's 'Much Ado About Nothing.'

Showrunner Liz Tuccillo has indicated that Louisa's character will move beyond pining for Martin, suggesting the new romance with Parker will be a significant development. The introduction of Parker and his potential impact on Louisa's relationships with Martin and Mark (Josh Segarra) is anticipated in upcoming episodes. New episodes of 'Best Medicine' premiere Tuesdays on FOX and are available for streaming on Hulu.
